We are committed to respecting personal privacy. We recognize every individual’s right to privacy and acknowledge our obligation to preserve the confidentiality of personal information.

This policy applies to the use and disclosure of personal information in the course of our commercial activities, including the provision of services to our clients. These standards are in addition to our usual professional obligations of confidentiality relating to all client information in accordance with the rules established by the Institutes of Chartered Accountants.

We collect personal information for the purposes of conducting our business and providing services to our clients.

Reasonable precautions are taken to safeguard all personal information collected by us. From time to time we may transfer personal information to third parties. This may include data warehousing, administrative services, consultation with other professionals, and pier review. When personal information is transferred to third parties, contractual or other means will be used to require such parties to protect personal information to a level comparable to that provided by us.

The purposes for which personal information is collected will be identified at or before the time of collection. The purposes must be those that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.

We will obtain the consent of the individual for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, except where consent is not required by law. The form and manner of obtaining consent may vary from express written consent to implied consent depending upon the circumstances and the type of information. Individuals may withdraw their consent at any time, subject to legal, professional, or contractual restrictions, by providing reasonable notice to our firm.

The collection of personal information will be limited to that which is necessary for the identified purpose(s). Information will be collected by fair and lawful means, and for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances.

Personal information will not be used or disclosed for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or when required or permitted by law.

We use personal information about clients for fair and legitimate purposes relating to the provision of professional services, including obtained and carrying our client service requests, reporting and communicating with clients, billing and accounting, protecting against fraud and illegal activities.
We will retain personal information for the period of time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with our document retention policies. Our document policies take into account our professions rules of conduct which govern the practice of public accounting, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. We also retain personal information to document the work we perform for our clients.

It is our intent to collect personal information that is accurate and complete, to the extent necessary, to fulfill the purposes for which it is to be used. Personal information will not be routinely updated, unless it is necessary to do so to fulfill the purposes for which it is collected.

We will take reasonable measures to protect all personal information in our possession against loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Upon request, we will inform individuals of the existence, use and disclosure of his or her personal information, except where not required by law.
